Equinox was awarded contract of working at height & lightning protection specialist

Since 2013, Equinox has been the appointed working at height and lightning protection contractor for the Forth Road Bridge.

In December 2015, Equinox was requested to provide 10 rope access/NDT technicians to assist with emergency works after a failed truss end link was discovered.This was the most challenging time for the bridge since it's construction back in 1964.

Equinox were tasked with principle inspections/surveys, installation of sensory/monitoring equipment, NDT works at the truss end links, rescue cover and access supervision for all bridge personnel.

This project continued for 6 months with our teams working 24hrs per day, 7 days a week.
