Equinox carries out emergency NDT inspections on the Forth Road Bridge

In December 2015, Equinox was requested to provide 10 rope access/NDT technicians to assist with emergency works after a failed truss end link was discovered. This was the most challenging time for the bridge since it's construction back in 1964.

Equinox were tasked with principle inspections/surveys, installation of sensory/monitoring equipment and NDT works of the truss end links.

Equinox were responsible for the testing of the new welds after each applied test load. The same scope of work was executed on all existing welds to determine their condition.

All tasks were carried out using Industrial Rope Access.
