Equinox Restores Wind Turbine in Scotland

A team from our rope access division were mobilised to Forth, Scotland to carry out essential maintenance work on a Siemens 2.3 megawatt wind turbine after a devastating electrical fire.

A full internal restoration programme of works was carried out to bring the turbine back to its original state. All main cables and components were removed and reinstalled on this project using rope access & rigging.

Access to the working areas was achieved using a team of IRATA trained rope access technicians using industrial rope access methods and techniques.

The project was carried out safely and within the estimated time scale.
