Equinox Restores Offshore Wind Turbine in Germany

After a devastating internal fire, a team from our rope access division were deployed offshore to carry out essential maintenance work on a 2.3 megawatt offshore wind turbine.

A full restoration programme of works was carried out to bring the turbine back to its original state. All main cables and components were removed and reinstalled on this project using rope access & rigging.

Access to the working areas was achieved using a team of GWO/IRATA trained offshore rope access technicians using industrial rope access methods and techniques. This project was carried out safely and within the estimated time scale.
