Equinox Restores Wind Turbines at The World's 2nd Largest Offshore Wind Farm

After a devastating internal fire, a team from our rope access division were deployed to the Thames Estuary to carry out essential maintenance work on three 2.3 megawatt offshore wind turbine.

A full restoration programme of works was carried out to bring the turbine back to its original state. All main cables and components were removed and reinstalled on this project using rope access & rigging. Transportation to the site was achieved by boat which implemented all offshore safe working and travel procedures.

Access to the working areas was achieved using a team of IRATA trained rope access technicians using industrial rope access methods and techniques. The project was carried out safely and within the estimated time scale.
